Lady Sarya & Al Diriyah

I think it's interesting to point out some old yachts were not much is known about. This time I want to talk about the 78.60m Al Diriyah and the 76.32m (250.4 ft) Lady Sarya. Both yachts have are owneb by the same owner Sheik Ahmed Yamani.

Lady Sarya was built in 1972 in Itlay by Cantieri Apuania and in 1974 she had her first refit by Van Der Giessen and was lengthed with about 11m (36ft.). When she was delivered to her American owners she was called La Bella Simone. Under that name she also played in a movie. I don't know the name of the movie anymore, but I believe it was a movie about Onassis. Her American owners sold the yacht to Sheik Amhed Yamani who called her Lady Sarya I, but later the I was gone and she carried her present name Lady Sarya. A nice feature of this yacht is her very big swimming pool.

Al Diriyah was built in 1960 by National Bulk Carriers in Japan. She has quite a history. Her first name was Danginn. Later she was sold to Charles Revlon and he called her Ultima II. Revlon sold her and she was called Serendipity. Before Sheik Ahmed Yamani bought her she was owned by the owner of Lady Moura and she carried the name Massarrah. To certain stories on the internet she has visited Marbella a couple of times when King Fahd was there. I also heart a rumour that King Fahd will be soon in Marbella....and with that maybe a couple of nice yachts.

If anyone has some more information please post it. I want to know everything about these two yachts! I am also looking to good pictures of her. They are hard to find!
