Fine Dining on the Cote D'Azur

Planning a maiden trip to the Cote D'Azur in April/May. Does anyone have any insights as to which are the best/better marinas to dock in? Is is better to moor in one spot or to work one's way down the coast?

I've also been put in charge of ferreting out some of the better restaurants on the coast. I've checked the michelin guide but wanted to see if people in this community had their own favourites/suggestions.
