I was just browsing through a publication today, and I saw a full page add from Feadship advertising Utopia for sale. For some reason, I thought this 235ft beauty had already sold after last-year's Monaco show, but I guess not. Besides being a couple feet narrower than a couple other yachts her size, there's absolutely nothing wrong with her, she would make one lucky owner very happy. I guess maybe the reason it hasn't sold is because of her price. What happens if it doesn't sell??? Will Feadship charter her???
The idea of combining volume and performance is about as old as boatbuilding itself. But sometimes the execution just brings the mix to a precise level that will stop you in your tracks. Check out the 26-knot Sunseeker 95, and see how she came about.
