Sarento’s Top of the “I”
Ilikai Hotel Nikko
1777 Ala Moana Boulevard
Honolulu, HI
Phone: (808) 955-5559
Dinner: $35

Dock at Ala Wai Harbor and prepare to indulge. In fact, a day-long dinner may not be a bad idea. Absolutely sinful Italian fare featuring everything from lobster ravioli to osso bucco. Complement dinner with a selection from the largest on-site wine collection in Hawaii. To work off your meal, join the lively crowd on the dance floor.

Claim to Fame: nine different homemade pastas. Also, an unbelievable view featuring the city, ocean, and Diamond Head.

The Chart Room
Land’s End Resort
4786 Homer Spit Road
Homer, AK
Phone: (907) 235-0400
Lunch: $10; dinner: $15 to $20

A dock is located just two blocks away at the Homer Boat Harbor. The Chart Room sits on the tip of Homer Spit, arguably Alaska’s best restaurant location. From the glassed-in deck, watch whales, otters, eagles, and boats cruise the bay. Mountains and glaciers form the backdrop.

Claim to Fame: Halibut Iliamna, named for a nearby volcano. It’s the dish to try in the town known as the Halibut Fishing Capital of the World.
