The newest diesel marine genset from this company, the electronically controlled M1064H, will be available for delivery this month. It’s rated at 105 kW at 1800 rpm and 90 kW at 1500 rpm, features four-valve HPCR (high-pressure common-rail) electronic fuel-injection technology, and is Tier II compliant. The genset features two air-intake valves and two exhaust valves per cylinder, which the company says will dramatically increase efficiency, power, and torque over comparably sized units. It’s said to be the smallest unit in the market in its kilowatt range and is engineered to be compatible with parts of other Northern Lights products. The electronic injector offers pilot injection, which warms the combustion chamber on cold start to help reduce smoke and noise.
