For 2003 Volvo Penta has introduced the TAMD75, which is rated at 480 hp at 2600 rpm and is a further development of the TAMD74, a bestseller in its power range for a number of years. The new seven-liter in-line six has an improved injection system and more efficient charged-air cooling, as well as an enhanced electronic combustion controls, resulting in lower fuel consumption, reduced exhaust emissions, and better operating characteristics such as less sensitivity to heavier loads and a head sea.
