Steyr's newest model, the 246 High Power, is an in-line six rated at 240 hp at 4100 rpm and is an enhancement of the earlier 3.2-liter, 212-hp Steyr 236 engine. With its distinctive monoblock design and an electronically controlled fuel-injection system, the engine is said to be a good option for applications requiring a low-weight, low-fuel-consumption, high-performance diesel.
