Pity sailors.
For them the annual changing of the calendar means–well, changing
the calendar. For us powerboaters it means a whole slew of new boats and,
just as exciting, new, more powerful, more efficient engines. This year
there’s lots of news for horsepower aficionados. As you’ll see
in the following pages, 2002 will be remembered not only for satisfying
our ever-increasing hunger for speed but also as the year the big four-stroke
outboard became a reality, Evinrude and Johnson outboards returned, MTU
and Detroit Diesel truly integrated, and Daewoo came to boating. Now isn’t
that more exciting than reading about new sails? | |||||||||||||
