| PMY Tries... Taylor Made Instrument Covers | |||||||||||||
Unless your bridge is completely enclosed by bulkheads, a door, and a hardtop or your helm features gasketed cabinets, your expensive electronics are subject to the ravages of sun, salt, and sea. To protect them, Taylor Made has introduced a new line of marine instrument covers. I sent one of the VHF covers to a PMY reader who lives in South Florida and fishes the center console boat he keeps in the back of his house at least three to four days a week. “It was easy to slip on and off, and I while I take my mounted electronics off after every trip, I noticed the cover kept any spray off my radio and its connections while underway,” he reports. The covers are available in vinyl and Rip Stop fabric and in a variety of sizes to fit fishfinders, depthsounders, and VHF radios. Elastic-fitted bottoms ensure a secure seal, and reinforced air vents permit moisture to escape. Taylor Made instrument covers are available at most marine outlet stores. Prices range from $9.99 to $11.99. —K.K. Taylor Made ( (518) 773-9400. www.taylormadeproducts.com. Previous page > Part 2: Water pump failure, and more > Page 1, 2, 3 |
