The
15th Street Fisheries is a well-known eatery around Fort Lauderdale, and
it’s famous among boaters for its Jalapeño-Cheddar Skippers
(a.k.a. bread). PMY got the scoop on how to make these little critters.
You will need:
2 cups of all-purpose
flour
3/4 tsp. of salt
1 1/4 cups of
shredded Wisconsin cheddar cheese
1/4 cup of shredded
Asiago cheese
1/4 cup of diced
fresh jalapeño peppers
1 1/4 cups of
milk
Preheat oven to 425°.
Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper or spray with nonstick cooking
spray. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour and salt. Fold in
cheeses and jalapeños. Add milk, but do not overmix. Drop 1/4-cup
spoonfuls of batter two inches apart onto cookie sheet. Bake for 10 to
12 minutes. Remove and enjoy.
