The AP25 series comes standard with Simrad’s RC25 rate compass and boasts improvements in automatic tuning as well as user-configurable response controls. The various display/control heads illustrated all come with SimNet connections for fast, easy communications with Simrad instruments and navigation electronics as well as other manufacturers’ NMEA 2000 devices. Some Simrad gear introduced over the last year is already SimNet-equipped; all will be eventually. SimNet features a slim, 3/8-inch waterproof plug for easy running through bulkheads and decks. AP25 systems start at about $3,000.
