From Regulator, the Edenton, North Carolina, company that prides itself on building boats with “legendary rides,” comes the 28 FS. Originally concieved as a step-up from the company’s popular 26-foot model—but with added amenities such as fold-down transom seating—this is a sleek, no-frills center console that is sure to tantalize any hardcore fisherman. Her twin Yamaha F300 four-stroke outboards should be able to zip you to the bite at speeds in excess of 60 mph while her Lou Codega-designed deep-V hull with 24 degrees of transom deadrise will ensure that you slice smoothly through all sorts of chop. The 28 also features nearly 550 quarts of stowage and fishbox space; 6'6" headroom in her console interior, which is fitted with an electric MSD; and engine controls featuring five-color LCD displays. Regulator also incorporated a flush deck that allows for unobstructed fish-fighting access throughout the entire cockpit, both forward and aft. With all these features the 28 should quickly become one of the top boats in her class and is sure to recruit plenty of fans from Carolina to California.
