Prestige Yachts 500 S
“Beauty without excess.” This was Prestige’s goal when designing its 500 S, a boat that is sure to impress with her clean lines, nimble performance, and efficient use of interior space. Her exterior speaks for itself, with a sleek, low profile that lends a certain elegance whether at the dock or slicing through open water. Her hull, crafted by J&J Design, was designed to provide maximum interior volume, excellent stability, and a fine turn of speed. Indeed, equipped with twin Volvo Penta IPS 600s, the 500 S should hit 35 mph on the pins and cruise comfortably at 29 mph. Inside, this boat borrows a page from the Prestige 60 by having her galley all the way aft, with the saloon and lower helm station forward. The touch of a button nearly instantly converts this genteel entertaining space into an open-air deck as a sunroof slides away to reveal (presumably) blue skies. Below, the 500 S boasts a full-beam master with a private head and shower, a relative rarity on a boat of this size and type. Two guest cabins round out the sleeping quarters and should make entertaining overnight guests a delight. Once you’ve checked her out you might find yourself agreeing that the 500 truly does encompass beauty without excess, but that’s not to say she won’t be excessively right for any owner looking to cruise in style and comfort.
