Cruisers 45 Cantius
There are plenty of reasons people take to the water, but at the end of the day it’s all about enjoying the outdoors and having fun with family and friends. This is a concept that the folks over at Cruisers Yachts understand, and their latest launch, the 45 Cantius, embraces it to the fullest. Take one step onboard and you’ll see that this is what the 45 Cantius is meant for—she’s not here to chase the fish, explore glaciers, or cruise to the Azores—she’s here for the party. Her floor plan incorporates the galley, the cockpit, the helm, and the upper saloon all on the main deck. So whether you’re driving, cooking dinner, or simply relaxing in the sun, everyone is part of the fun. Natural light floods the interior thanks to large side windows and a 71- by 71-inch sunroof. A fold-out window at the aft end of the galley opens the saloon to the cockpit, with plenty of seating for taking in the rays. If you’d rather enjoy the shade, there is an optional retractable canvas sunshade that extends the length of the cockpit. Heading to the bow to grab a fender, toss a line, or relax on the forward sunpad is safe and easy thanks to 11-inch-wide side decks and well-placed stainless steel grab rails.
Powered by twin 375-horsepower Volvo IPS500s the 45 Cantius is no slouch in the speed department, charging along at a company-estimated cruising speed of just over 24 knots, nearing 28 with the hammers down, so you and your gang can get back to the dock when the party is over, or, depending on how you look at it, just about to begin.
