Most cruisers take along a dingy for zipping from their mooring or anchorage to the shore or beach, or for simply cruising around the harbor. The 11-foot Walker Bay 340 Super Tender, with a 6'5" beam, puts a new spin on the traditional dinghy; according to its manufacturer, it offers the comfort and speed of a larger day boat yet has the maneuverability of a dinghy.

The best part about the Super Tender is its internal seating, which means no more bouncing on a pontoon and should make for a safer, drier ride. The manufacturer says its composite displacement hull throws a minimal wake, tracks easily while under tow, and absorbs vibration. It’s U.S. Coast Guard-certified, can carry a 15-hp engine, and features hydrodynamic trim tabs for easy planing.

It’s available in PVC or hypalon. Pricing starts at $3,149.
