Relish in the Sun By Elizabeth Ginns Britten — October 2004 | ||||||||||||||||
I’m an advocate of protecting your skin from the damaging effects of the sun. Even so, I dislike the heavy scent and greasiness of certain sunblocks. Thanks to Relish Suncare Products, a line of nongreasy, moisturizing sunscreen, you can protect your skin while giving it the nutrients it needs. Relish infuses its sunblocks
with a range of natural products full of antioxidants and vitamins. These
include zinc oxide, which is hypoallergenic; licorice and green tea, which
have anti-inflammatory properties; and ginseng, which increases skin elasticity.
The ingredients additionally fight aging, which Relish says makes its
products different than other sunblocks. Two tips: Use small dabs for quick absorbtion, and reapply frequently because it’s not waterproof. The line is PABA-free, not tested on animals, and available through Relish beginning at $15. Relish Suncare Products Phone: (212) 734-7877. www.relishsunscreen.com.
