I have to admit, although the sound of water makes me sleep like a baby, the mattresses on many boats I’ve slept on haven’t been the most comfortable of arrangements. And in reference to that, there's a new product on the market that should help.
Tufted Topper promises to make sleeping on your boat’s standard berth cushions—even those ghastly multicreviced dinette berths—significantly more pleasant. The Topper is a quilted, four-layer design with a heavy-cotton bottom, one-inch foam body, and one-inch high-density, fiberfill “pillow top,” all crowned in a stain-resistant shell. I inspected a sample and was impressed with the design, materials, and workmanship. Order a template kit first to ensure a perfect fit for most any berth. Prices start at $249.
