The crew of the award-winning PBS series “Cruising America’s Waterways” has just released BoatCamp: Basic Training for Boaters. The 90-minute video (a DVD is also available) explores the fundamentals of boating, including safety, legal issues, and basic boat handling. The program takes viewers through a routine U.S. Coast Guard vessel safety check, explains the various types of PFDs, and reviews boat anchoring, docking, and fueling procedures.

Both the VHS and DVD versions of BoatCamp retail for $29.95, plus shipping and handling costs, and are available for purchase online at the company’s Web site or by calling direct.
