Dining out is an essential element of any passagemaking journey or extended cruise. But on occasion you may want to enjoy a home-cooked meal onboard, which can be a pain to produce if you don’t have the cooking tools you need simply because there isn’t room to stow them.
There’s good news in this respect, in the form of Magma Products’ latest stainless steel cookware set. The eight-piece combo includes three-, two-, and one-and-a-half-quart saucepans, a universal lid for the various sizes, a five-quart stock pot, and a nine-and-a-half-quart saucepan that doubles as a lid for the stock pot. Also included are detachable handles and a bungee cord to secure cookware in place should heavy seas come your way. But here’s the best part: When nested, the entire set uses less than a half cubic foot of space.
Available at most local marine supply stores, the cookware is oven-, refrigerator-, and dishwasher-safe and retails for $184.95; the nonstick version is $234.95.
