Give Me the Cheddar Bread! By Capt. Patrick Sciacca — February 2003 |
||||||||||||||||||||
The 15th Street Fisheries is a well-known eatery around Fort Lauderdale, and it's famous among boaters for its Jalapeño-Cheddar Skippers (a.k.a. bread). PMY got the scoop on how to make these little critters. You will need: Preheat oven to 425°. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper or spray with nonstick cooking spray. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour and salt. Fold in cheeses and jalapeños. Add milk, but do not overmix. Drop 1/4-cup spoonfuls of batter two inches apart onto cookie sheet. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes. Remove and enjoy. 15th Street Fisheries Phone: (954) 763-2777. Is there a piece of gear you would like to know more about or see PMY put to the test?
