One of the things that I really like about the 420’s saloon and galley is the rounded cherrywood cabinets and drawers (maple is an option). They all close flush, there are no bulky latches, and the installation appears as one continuous structure, not angular and abrupt like I’ve seen in some other boats in similar size and class. The layout and appearance helped open up the below-decks space. In addition, Sea Ray has added a standard flush-mount skylight, which nicely brightens the saloon and galley area. The galley is geared for meals at sea with a two-burner Kenyon cooktop, Sharp convection oven, and under-counter Waeco Coolmatic refrigerator and freezer. With 6'7" headroom and a standard crescent-shape Ultraleather lounge to port, this space feels as if you’re home in your living room.—P.S.
