Azimut 103S |
With each subsequent model in Azimut's sexy, sleek S range, the talented design team of Carlo Galeazzi and Stefano Righini raises the bar. From the bambina, the 43S, to the 62-, 68-, and 86-foot models that preceded her, each boat is a winner. All S boats share certain design elements—Bordeaux-red hull sides, shark-fin-shape windows in their superstructures, and a series of square windows in their hull sides—including the 103S, which replaces the 86-footer as the line's flagship. However, the 103 will be the first S boat with a flying bridge.
It's fitting that the 103 splashed at the 2007 Dubai International Boat Show, with the famous Burj Al Arab hotel's sail-shape silhouette in the distance. Like the hotel, the 103 surrounds you with luxurious amenities. Her main deck is case in point, executed superbly by Azimut's craftsmen. Huge side windows, a power sunroof, and a big windshield bathe the area in light. A melange of dark and light woods, stainless steel, and neutral-tone leather settees lends the saloon an airy feeling. For formal dining, a glass-top dining table seats eight; it's just aft of the lower helm, which has three leather-wrapped helm seats. This lavish trend continues below decks, with the full-beam master stateroom (and its private galley designed by Boffi), forepeak VIP, and two cabins with single berths all served by en suite heads.

The 103's three alfresco areas provide additional comfort: The flying bridge, accessible via teak steps from the cockpit, is equipped with sunpads and a pair of chaise lounges; the cockpit offers shady seating/dining for eight via the flying bridge overhang; and there's an additional C-shape settee with ottomans and a two-person sunpad on the foredeck.
Powered by twin 2,434-hp MTU 16V 2000 M93 diesel inboards mated to Rolls-Royce KaMeWa waterjets, the 103S should see a 39-mph top speed, according to Azimut.
Length overall: 101'5" Beam: 19'1" Accommodations: 1 king, 1 queen, four single berths, plus 1 double and 1 single crew berth Standard engines: 2/2,434-hp MTU 16V 2000 M93 diesel inboards

Pershing 72 |
A glimmering metallic-silver finish and an aggressive profile unmistakeably identify this yacht as a member of the Pershing clan. Versatility comes in spades on the 72: The hardtop's overhang is electrically retractable, providing the cockpit with full sun or shade seating; the glass partition between the cockpit and saloon retracts completely into pocket doors; and there's a power roof over the helm. Features include a wenge interior; Poltrona Frau leather on the helm chairs, wall panels, and saloon headliner; and teak cockpit, fore-, and side-deck soles. The builder reports a 46-mph cruise and 52-mph top speed with standard twin 1,823-mhp MTU 12V 2000 M93 powerplants mated to Arneson ASD 14L surface drives.
