Hodgdon has announced that they’re launching a new division—Hodgdon Yacht Services—that will expand the company’s reach into both yacht and pleasure boat service and refits. The company’s expansion will make Hodgdon one of the largest full-service marine companies in New England. Hodgdon recently merged Boothbay Region Boatyard in Southport, Maine (shown above), and Wotton’s Wharf in Boothbay Harbor, and the company’s existing shipyard in East Boothbay to create three service locations in the Boothbay area. “We are please to continue growing the business as we approach our 200th anniversary, a milestone we will celebrate in 2016,” said Sandy Spaulding, former president of Hinckley Yachts and a senior business advisor for Hodgdon. “This new division perfectly complements Hodgdon’s world-renowned custom boat building, custom superyacht tenders, interior, and defense divisions.” The company will celebrate the expansion with an open house on Sunday, June 29, from 2:00 to 4:00 at its Southport boatyard. Customers and community members are welcome to attend.
