Seakeeper graph

I recently got onboard the new Weaver 80 off of Palm Beach. She’s a really cool, fully custom boat that we’ll do a full review on in a future issue of Power & Motoryacht, but for now I want to share an image with you I got from a Seakeeper rep who was also onboard running some tests. The boat has two Seakeeper gyro stabilizers in her engine room—and to be blunt, they work.

One Night in Rio

I hopped down to West Palm Beach recently for the debut of the Rio Yachts Granturismo 56 on the docks at Palm Harbor Marina. In a nutshell, the whole thing was very Palm Beach-y. A light breeze off the ocean, beautiful women in cocktail dresses, older guys wearing blazers and watches that could pay my rent for a year, and a live band jamming with tasteful restraint as the champagne flowed like water. But the star of the show was the boat, a fully customizable express cruiser from Rio Yachts, a newcomer to the market.

Malibu Blues

You can file this one under: What the what???!

Yes you read that correctly.

Into the Maelstrom with a Viking

OK, maybe maelstrom is too strong a word, but when I tested the Viking 42 ST today off of Riviera Beach, it just wasn’t really all that pleasant, weather-wise. The rain was slamming down, the wind was conjuring up whitecaps, and confused four footers made the Atlantic an interesting place to test a boat that easily surpasses 30 knots.

The Astondoa Top Deck 63 is a Showstopper

We tend to toss around some hyperbole in this industry. Everything is the best, the most luxurious, the sleekest, whatever. But I mean this in the truest sense of the word when I say that the Astondoa Top Deck 63 that we tested in our February issue is a true showstopper.
