Touring the Abacos in the Pursuit 325

By Kevin Koenig | Posted 2014-07-01 09:02

I just got back from the Abacos where I was testing the Pursuit 325. That’s quite a little vessel that packs a whole lot of boat onto her 32-foot LOA thanks to an open, bow-rider layout.

No Man Left Behind

By Kevin Koenig | Posted 2014-06-20 11:52

This past weekend, after a long and mostly fruitless day of shark fishing onboard Capt. Art DellaSalla’s Andiamo 20 miles off Manasquan Inlet, we eventually had to admit that the day was not ours, and threw our last baits overboard, and turned towards home.

By Kevin Koenig | Posted 2014-05-14 09:30

One Night in Rio

By Kevin Koenig | Posted 2014-04-25 12:06

I hopped down to West Palm Beach recently for the debut of the Rio Yachts Granturismo 56 on the docks at Palm Harbor Marina. In a nutshell, the whole thing was very Palm Beach-y. A light breeze off the ocean, beautiful women in cocktail dresses, older guys wearing blazers and watches that could pay my rent for a year, and a live band jamming with tasteful restraint as the champagne flowed like water. But the star of the show was the boat, a fully customizable express cruiser from Rio Yachts, a newcomer to the market.

Malibu Blues

By Kevin Koenig | Posted 2014-04-15 12:22

You can file this one under: What the what???!

According the New York Post, noted yachtsman and owner of the 414-foot megayacht Octopus, Paul Allen, recently sold his $28 million Malibu beachfront mansion to CBS president and CEO Les Moonves because he “hated the sound of the ocean.”

Yes you read that correctly.
