Looks like Lebron James isn’t the only one taking dives during this year’s NBA playoffs. While the Miami Heat may have tied up the championship series against the San Antonio Spurs last night, their fans went down—literally. As the crowd at Miami’s Shuckers Bar & Grill rose to their feet to cheer a Miami Heat basket, the outside deck collapsed, sending approximately 100 patrons into the water off the 79th street causeway, according to Miami-Dade Fire Rescue.

NYC Fleet Week Sequestered

Fleet weekLooks like New York City’s Fleet Week is not quite as lucky as air-traffic controllers—the U.S. military has announced that they will cancel this year’s event due to the sequester. Nearly every year since 1984, Fleet Week has brought Navy ships carrying sailors, Marines, and Coast Guardsmen to New York Harbor, an event that typically costs the U.S. Navy between $7 and $10 million (and generates around $20 million for the city).

The Perfect Ending

Last September saw a good boat show in Newport, Rhode Island—warm sunny days and cool evenings: pretty much a perfect New England fall weekend.
