Apparently, the owner was reluctant to let Dickie Bannenberg stain the wood dark during a recent refit, but the gamble paid off. Architectural Digest, which rarely focuses on anything other than home design, included this yacht's interior in its pages.

How's this for a quandary? Blind Date II's owner can't decide whether he wants to keep this boat or his same-named, 160- foot Lurssen. His plan is to let the market decide for him, though Blind Date II's broker seems confident that offers will abound. In fact, her asking price was recently increased, a telling move in this economic climate.

It's clear that a lot of planning went into this vessel's wheelhouse, which features thoughtful touches like fatigue-reducing leaning posts. Capt. Juan Koegelenberg worked closely with Hakvoort for two years during her build, before the intended owner who hired him had to pull out for personal reasons.

The first vessel Trinity ever built on spec, Zoom Zoom Zoom has a slightly different look from earlier 161s, with a more curvaceous main-deck overhang and a forward-facing master suite. The departures paid off: Zoom Zoom Zoom's revisions were such a hit, they've appeared on several subsequent Trinitys (like No. 96 on this list, Lohengrin)
