Motoryachts

Princess 82

Boaters hunting for motoryachts will have noticed that recent developments in design have turned up the volume, increasing livable space while improving looks and lines. Meanwhile evolution in propulsion means both efficient operation and added speed—an equation that can add up to cruising time well spent.

The Outer Reef 860 CPMY shows off the level of custom specification available in an efficient envelope. The 700 LRMY and 720 DBMY will also be available for inspection.

Ferretti will have a veritable slew of boats in South Florida, including the Ferretti 960, 870, 690, and 620. The Ferretti Custom Line 100, as well as the Ferretti Navetta NC26 and NC33, will be on display as well.

Jeff Stanley

“If you are going to buy a boat, particularly a brokerage boat of 50 feet and above, the show is laid out in such a way that you are going to need a plan. The first thing to realize is that, try as they might, the show is not laid out in such a way that all the sportfishing boats are together, all the motoryachts are together, and so on. This is particularly true of the brokerage boats—basically they are grouped by brokerage house. Because of this your search will need to be a little more diligent if you really want to cover the show. The Boat Show Guide is fairly accurate and will help you locate all of the boats that were slated to fill the slips (some boats sell first!). Ideally after your thorough search of the show you will locate your favorite broker you have been working with and have him sell you the boat you found. Of course you mentioned to all those listing brokers, you were working with your own broker!”

Jeff Stanley of Gilman Yachts is listing this 2008 56-foot Carver that has just 89 hours on the engines—in fresh water.

The Maritimo M58 motoryacht opens up cruising options with an Australian sensibility, while the M45 and M50 will also pay a visit to the show. The Hampton 720 Endurance will be on hand as well.

Astondoa is coming on strong with the striking 63 Top Deck, which may change the game with a revolutionary design.

The Princess 82 is the highlight among new offerings from this British builder. Have a look at their 56 and the 52 as well.

VICEM goes with composites and resin-infusion for its two, rather large, brand-new Ft. Lauderdale intros: the lovely 107 Cruiser, with a decidedly Down East-style appearance, and the immense 46-meter Tri-Deck Vulcan.

Meet the MCY 86, fresh from her introduction in Cannes this summer, and we’re sure you’ll want to take a look at her inside and out. She’ll be accompanied by the MC5, a 49-footer with a noteworthy profile. The MCY 76 and 70 will join them as well.
